Scabies Outbreak in El Paso Texas

According to KSTM News Channel 9 parents of children in local schools are concerned about an outbreak of scabies.

There are reports that parents are keeping their children home from school to avoid the very contagious parasites.

Other parents were very upset that the schools were not notifying the public about the outbreak.

When questioned as to why they have not notified parents about the scabies problem, EPISD Spokesperson Melissa Martinez stated: "It's not a reportable disease just like we don't send notes home when the student has a cold. This is considered that kind of health issue."

Comparing a Scabies Infestation to a common cold is completely ridiculous!

Spokesperson Martinez and the school district are grossly understating the issue.

Scabies-Authority.org finds the school district's attitude to be either a sign of total ignorance of the severity of the scabies problem or a blatant disregard of the safety of El Paso school children and their families.

If the latter, we can only surmise that the school district is trying to avoid a loss of funds that would surely follow a large and extended period of student absences.

Scabies are a VERY severe problem.

Scabies-Authority.org has had numerous private conversations with health care workers in various Emergency Rooms around the country where it has been revealed that when a patient comes in the ER with scabies, all the workers quickly leave and the patient is not given care.

Scabies are not taken lightly by people who have experience with them.

Scabies-Authority.org recommends that the people of El Paso learn exactly what scabies are and how to treat them.
