What are Norwegian (crusted) Scabies?

Crusted scabies is a severe form of scabies that can occur in some persons who are immunocompromised (have a weak immune system), elderly, disabled, or debilitated.

It is also called Norwegian scabies.

Persons with crusted scabies have thick crusts of skin that contain large numbers of scabies mites and eggs.

Norwegian or "Crusted" Scabies is essentially a normal scabies infestation that has not been treated for an extended period of time.

Due to the length of time the infestation is left untreated, the scabies are able to multiply by the thousands and take over large portions of a person's skin.

This is a very serious condition and it will take months of very active DAILY treatment to eliminate the scabies completely.

If you have scabies, you might be using products that don’t work on them anymore. We recommend using Scabies-Killer. It’s been working really well for most people for the last 10 years that we have seen. http://www.scabies-killer.com
